Reimagined Patient Care

Dr. Hagler, our pediatric neurologist, fuses academic medicine and cutting-edge advances in treatment with the attention and comfort of a small practice.

Her practice structure allows for each patient to be seen in a timely manner and receive the care they deserve, always with attention to the details of each particular case.

A Personal Touch

In traditional medical practices it is not uncommon to spend more time in the waiting room than you do with the doctor, and scheduling and communicating with the doctor can be extremely difficult.  We strive to remove a lot of the barriers felt in traditional medical settings, and our patients enjoy an ease of setting appointments and comminucating with the physician should they have questions in between appointments.  Because we do not overbook, you can also expect to be greeted promptly at your appointment time.  Most importantly, Dr. Hagler places the highest priority on listening and spending time with her patients, and will always ensure that every aspect of your care has been addressed, and every question answered

A Calm Escape

We know how stressful it is to suffer from headaches and other neurological disorders and we designed our office space to be calming and soothing to those who suffer.  We believe that this environment creates the optimal atmosphere for a comfortable and productive visit with the doctor, and should feel like a welcome escape from the busy world around you.

Multidisciplinary Care

Headache etiology may sometimes be multifactorial and may result from a complex interplay of biological, environmental, and psychological factors. Not only can poor sleep, improper hydration/nutrition, or exposure to triggers exacerbate pain, so can stress, anxiety, fear, perfectionism or frustration. Psychologists are experts in understanding the mind-body connection, which is critical when addressing headaches.
Studies have also stressed the benefits of various psychology-based interventions in headache management but it can be difficult to access this type of care.  For this reason, South Florida Headache MD has partnered with Pediatric Psychology Associates (PPA) to provide individuals with the highest-quality, comprehensive treatment for headache pain management.

Dr. Hagler also works closely with the psychologists when needed to assist patients with ADHD and autism.  Patients with these disorders may benefit from various types of therapies.  Psychology referral may also be recommended for various types of objective testing for neurocognitive and learning disorders.
